(CEO: Kohei Nakamura) have jointly established a new company "YOUR RIGHTS Inc." in May 2025, which provides a mechanism for fans and creators to share profits by digitizing partial copyrights of anime works using blockchain technology. We collaborate with animation production companies, IP holders, and investors to realize a sustainable and co-creative anime industry.
Challenges We Address
The Japanese anime industry has grown to a market size of 3 trillion yen in 2024, with more than half of the demand coming from overseas, making it a major industry with worldwide popularity. However, serious challenges are piling up at the production sites. The environment where works are born, the means of selling them, and the appropriate revenue sharing between production committees, production studios, and creators - none of these can keep up with the speed of market changes, and warnings continue to be raised about the sustainable growth of the industry.
Solutions We Provide
To address these challenges, we present solutions through the following new crowdfunding model. Specifically, we plan to develop the following services:
- Issuance of Partial Copyrights
We issue partial rights of works, such as animation rights, as "digital ownership certificates" and provide them to fans and investors.
- Fundraising and Production Participation
The revenue from certificate sales is allocated to production costs, and holders participate in projects through voting and opinion submissions.
- Revenue Distribution
Profits from distribution and merchandising are distributed to creators, production companies, and holders according to their ownership percentage.
Through these initiatives, we aim to reform the revenue structure of the anime industry and build an ecosystem where fans and creators can grow together.
